Dolcetto d’Asti D.O.C.

This is a traditional Piedmont red wine, the first to be produced by the Company several years ago.

The name Dolcetto stems from Roman populations who discovered this precious black berry fruit with a very sweet taste, more pleasant than other black grapes.

Over the years some techniques of vinification are changed, through the use of a more advanced technology, but still maintaining different procedures and devices practiced since the beginning of the century.

Among these techniques one is particularly important: the "pinching" of the bunches.

This is a painstaking job by which the last few centimeters of the bunches are removed, thus eliminating the grapes not perfectly ripened that cause an excessive increase in fixed acidity of the wine.

Dolcetto d'Asti has a ruby red color, fruity aroma and dry, velvety and full taste.
